Detoxification & Aids Digestion

Ingredients

Radish Cake:

  • Chinese white radish, 3 medium

  • Dried Shiitake Mushroom, 6 pcs

  • Dried Shrimp, small handful

  • Chinese Sausage, 2 pcs

  • Ginger, 3 slices

  • Rock sugar, 3 pcs

  • Rice flour, 1 1/2 cups approx

  • Chicken powder

  • White pepper

Prep

1. Soak mushrooms & shrimp in hot water, chop to your preferred size

2. Grate the radish, reserve the radish juice

Method

1. Stir-fry the ginger in your wok with some salt. Add the mushrooms, sausage and shrimp. Stir-fry until fragrant, set aside. 

2. Stir-fry the radish in batches with ginger, rock sugar, and seasoning, wait until the radish colour turns a bit yellow. Remove the ginger. 

3. Add back in the mushrooms, sausage and shrimp. 

4. In a small bowl, mix rice flour with reserved radish juice, eyeball the amount: thinner consistency for softer cake, thicker for a firmer cake 

5. Stir in and mix with the radish. Add more seasoning if necessary. Transfer to steaming pans. Steam for 45 minutes to 1 hour. 

6. Let the cakes cool down completely, then refrigerate overnight for the cakes to firm up.

7. To serve, slice and fry them until crispy and golden. Enjoy!
