Digestive Health & Vitality

Ingredients

Yam and Tofu dish: 

  • Soft tofu, 1 box, cubed

  • Fresh Chinese Yam 淮山, 150g, peeled & cubed

  • Minced pork, 100g

  • Spring Onion, 1 stalk, chopped 

  • Garlic, 3 cloves, minced

  • Water, 200ml


Seasoning:

  • Soy sauce, 1 tbsp

  • Salt, 1/4 tsp

  • Sugar 1 tsp

  • Seasme oil 1/2 tsp

  • Cornstarch water 15ml

Method

1. When your pan is hot, add cooking oil and stir fry the garlic & meat until the meat changes colour. Then add water. 

2. Once water boils, add yam and stir fry. Then add tofu, using a spatula so you don’t break the tofu. Cover and simmer for 2 minutes. 

3. Add soy sauce and sugar. Cover and simmer for another 2 minutes.

4. Add salt and stir fry (with spatula). Add the cornstarch water and stir fry evenly. Finally, add seasme oil. 

5. To serve, add chopped spring onion. This dish is so simple, tastes so homey. Best paired with a bowl of steaming rice.
